Onboard virtual keyboard not working in ubuntu 14 LXDE

Hello

I am trying to use onboard on the hardware which has following details:
Linux WellLynx 4.1.13-ti-r36 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 11 04:55:22 UTC 2015 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux

We have Ubuntu 14 running on this system.

Onboard got install properly and I can access it by click on it.
However its not coming automatically when I am trying to edit it.
I enabled the setting in Onboard "Auto-Show when editing text"

What could be the reason for this?
Any help will be really appreciated.
