autohide/autoshow onboard when focus on text-field

Asked by schmolch

Hi,

i hope this is not the wrong place for a feature request.

Im using onboard on a tablet-pc and the absolut killer feature for me would be if onboard did automatically show up as soon as you click on any text-input field and disappear again after the text input is completed.

I have no idea how that could work but i have this feature on my Nokia 770 (which also runs linux but its "modded" by nokia) and it just feels great.

onboard is pretty good btw. :-)

Regards
Sascha

There is already a similar feature (transparency) in the wishlist of onboard; have a look here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Accessibility/Projects/onBoard?action=show&redirect=Accessibility%2FProjects%2FSOK

(at the beginning of the development, onboard was named sok)

Nevertheless, you might consider filing as a RFE bug. I think that it is the usual way to file requests.
(RFE: request for enhancement)

This feature is still not included in onboard.
Tablet pc's numper is increasing and it could be an awesome feature.
