Hi,

How do you guys do the release announcements ?
It would be nice if you also used Launchpad's Announcement feature. I personally love Onboard and would like to see more and more people use it. To do that, more awareness is needed.

If there was a pretty Announcement page, I would go and share every major announcement on Social Platforms and Blogs.

Can you please enable/use the Annoucnements feature in Launchpad ? Or otherwise, do you do blogs on every release ?

PS: Not everyone gets excited with mailing list messages. That's why I think a web announcement would be much helpful.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ritesh.
We discussed launchpad announcements between us and I believe Francesco agreed that he wants to do them in the future (Correct me if I'm wrong, Francesco).
We're trying to keep things simple, so don't expect long blog posts, just a changelog type of thing.

Hi,

I can confirm marmuta's statement: it is to simply let people know that a new version is available, with appropriate links to the relevant pieces of information and files.

Considering that the launchpad announcements support RSS, it might be a simple alternative for people to get informed about new releases.

I just published the announcements for Onboard 1.4.0 and Onboard 1.4.1, in case you want to subscribe to the RSS feed.
