I don't know how to install

Asked by Mike Gifford

Surely there must be something I can download....

Maybe an INSTALL.txt file somewhere..

Some orientation for beginners would be good.

The core OIF libraries are installed by default on Ubuntu since 11.04 and available in the Debian archives for other Debian-based distros.

If you are building from sources, each project has a README file containing instructions.

API documentation is included with each subprojects: documentation for the programmatic API can be found online at http://people.canonical.com/~stephenwebb/geis-v2-api/.

Can you help with this problem?
