Disabling touchpad when tapping, with evdev driver

Asked by Cynddl

With synaptics driver, I can disable touchpad when tapping (macbook touchpad is very sensitive) with syndaemon.
When using utouch with evdev (to exploit all fantastic gestures), I can't use syndaemon (synaptics driver needed). Is there an alternative ?

Thanks.

When using the X evdev module there is no way to disable the touchpad while typing.

However, in 11.04 we will have gesture support through the traditional X synaptics module. You will be able to have gestures and synaptics features, like disabling the trackpad while typing, at the same time.

Can you help with this problem?
