Evince is a good example to use, if you have a GTK app to which you want to add gesture support.

Evince uses the libgrip library, which you will need. The project is here:
  https://launchpad.net/libgrip

You can use the PPA to get libgrip for Maverick:
  https://launchpad.net/~utouch-team/+archive/utouch

Note that you will get all the latest packages as well... so be sure you want that before you add that PPA.

Cody Russell will be able to better answer your questions in detail. The best way to get a response is to email the multi-touch-dev list. You can subscribe to the mail list once you join the multi-touch-dev team here:
  https://launchpad.net/~multi-touch-dev

I tried to install the PPA but got a keyserver receive failed message. It timed out. Also the install info link did not work.

Hey Mark,

I've asked our team to look into this for you. We're all using the PPA, as are many community members, so something strange is happening. You should get a request for more information soon.

Mark, I suggest using apt-add-repository to add the repo:

$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:utouch-team/utouch

That should ensure the repository is set up correctly.

Can you help with this problem?
