Where to select video Format?

Asked by ducky

I just downloaded the new version 3.2. I want to convert using dirac codec, but do not know how to setup the video format. The only thing I can change is the container format. The button Video Format does not exist in the new version.

How can I set the video codec? Is it possible to change some more advanced encoding parameters than just quality?

The latest version of OggConvert only supports version 1.0.0 and newer of the Schroedinger encoder I'm afraid. Otherwise the option to encode to Dirac isn't available. If you really want to you can override the automatic detection by changing the value of "HAVE_SCHRO" to "True" in the file ocv_constants.py, but doing so isn't recommended, and encoding probably still won't work.

Video quality is the only thing you can change at the moment. I'm working on adding CBR encoding to the next version.

Thank You!

I updated gstreamer and reinstalled schroedinger 1.0.0 and now it works on my gentoo system!

I like this program and its free spirit!
