nXhtml crashes emacs-server when both terminal and X frame launched

Asked by Shiva Wu

I'm on Arch Linux, with emacs 23.2.

First start emacs server with emacs --daemon, then use emacsclient.
`emacsclient -t` works fine, but `emacsclient -c` will report the following:

   Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument number-or-marker-p nil)
       >(nil 0)

And after starting `emacsclient -c`(whether close it or not),
another `emacsclient -t` will crash the server and result the gnome-terminal in a strange state where "\n" seems to be gone.

But using normal emacs or 'M-x server-start' has no such problem.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Hi Shiva,

I am very sure someone will try help you with this if you report it as an Emacs bug. The questions here are just meant to be for nXhtml, not Emacs itself.

So please use "M-x report-emacs-bug" and follow the instructions there. (If you have problems with that then please come back here and ask.)

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Shiva Wu for more information if necessary.
