If this application is browser based, is there any chance to plug something like this in?

It would avoid hearing those ads with sounds (which is actually a grooveshark.. "bug" or actually a quality missconception).

I have web plugin blocker on the shelve that blocks all plugins including noisy Flash objects. It may be included in release 1.1.

Please contact Grooveshark support (contacts at http://help.grooveshark.com/) and report that some ads use sounds. They could fix unless it is intended behavior.

With regards grooveshark, it's not intended from what I can see: http://help.grooveshark.com/customer/portal/articles/63069
Looks like it's beyond their control to block those ads upfront.
