=== MP3 ===

Some services require a MP3 decoder to play music. MP3 is an audio format protected by a software patent. In case you are in a country, where software patents apply (e.g. USA), you can legally download a no-cost binary MP3 decoder provided by Fluendo: http://www.fluendo.com/shop/product/fluendo-mp3-decoder/

If you are in a country, where software patents don't apply, you can legally install a free MP3 decoder provided by your Linux distribution, that is based on source code of the Fluendo MP3 decoder. The decoder is usually in a package gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 or similarly named. Another MP3 decoder (called mad) is included in an "ugly" set of Gstreamer plugins (package gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly). If you need help with installation of the MP3 decoder, please contact a support channel (documentation forum, paid support etc.) of your distribution. If you are in a coutry, where software patents apply, usage of this package is illegal, unless your distribution has a patent license.

Note: If you have a newer Linux distribution, you may have to install plugins compatible with Gstreamer 1.0 instead of 0.10. At least one of these packages should exist:

gstreamer1.0-fluendo-mp3
gstreamer1-fluendo-mp3
gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly
gstreamer1-plugins-ugly
gst-plugins-ugly

Note: You will also need Gstreamer plugins good:
gstreamer1.0-plugins-good
gstreamer1-plugins-good
gst-plugins-good

=== Flash plugin ===

Some services require Adobe Flash plugin for music playback. Adobe Flash plugin is a proprietary closed-source product, that does not follow spirit of free software culture. You can download it at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Your Linux distributon may contain Adobe Flash pluign in its package repository. If you need help with installation of the Adobe Flash plugin, please contact a support channel (documentation forum, paid support etc.) of your distribution.
