Validation on flavor name

Is there any reason why some special character are blocked in the flavor name?

For example: bug(), flavor*

If I try to create a flavor with one of those name it returns 400 error with "names can only contain [a-zA-Z0-9_.- ]"

As a name, like username or some thing, we doesn't want to see some special character in it.

BTW, The restriction was added for the bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/977187. Hoping that help you.
