Backup of instances?

Is there a way to create a backup of a running instance? More precisely, can I backup the storage of an instance, the persistent data that is used by an instance. I am trying to see if there is a way to retrieve the data after an instance is terminated, assuming that its corresponding persistent will still remain.

Hi jagannath,

You creata a snapshot of the instance by clicking create snapshot option in the list of instance on dashboard..

Creating snapshot is nothing but taking a copy of a instance it can be as backup..
