Firewall framework for handling outgoing connections

Hallo All,

This is regarding a firewall framework that would help an user to define policies / rules for handling the outgoing connections from VM and I assume that, such a framework isn't available either in ESSEX or FOLSOM (Similar to security groups in Nova that handles the incoming network traffic)

I would like to know is there any group who are working on this or are there any plans to address in the upcoming releases of OpenStack.

Thanks for the response regarding the information on quantum-generic-firewall. Can I get to know is this API complete and available for public use or is it under development?

Are there any timelines regarding the release in case if it is under development?

Hallo all,

In continuation with my earlier question, can I get to know whether the proposed interfaces on the generic firewall is created and controlled by the end user. Are there any administrator based default policies which cannot be overridden by the end user. As asked my in earlier question, can I get information on the timelines of completion of the proposed interface?
