Unable to run "sudo virsh list --all" in ubuntu 12.04 VM

I installed ubuntu 12.04 64-bit in vmware workstation. When I run the devstack script, running the command "sudo virsh list --al" is always freezed there, unablt to proceed further. When I simply run sudo virsh list --al, it is also stuck there.
Has anyone met it before?
