Change instance hostname

Asked by Noriak

Hi,

I'm testing the Essex release of Openstack in order to migrate some server from cactus to this release.

I have some problems with the hostname given to instances. It's now server-<number> and was before i-<number> (example : server-1 and i-0000001) .

I haven't found any possibility to change or give the hostname to instance witth euca2ools.

Is it possible to revert to hostnames like i-<number> ? How can I configure that ?
Shoud I migrate to nova client instead of euca2ools ?

Thanks in advance,

Using nova-client would be best.

Can you help with this problem?
