Will Nova be able to Teleport VMs?

If I need to shutdown a node, can I teleport its instances to other node? Preferably this would happen automatically when an admin gives the shutdown command.

Yes, although not currently when 'an admin gives the shutdown command'.

Currently Nova supports migrating VMs between hosts, and these migrations can be started by an administrator. From what I understand, a "live" migration is not always possible, so a typical migration might involve shutting down the original VM, transferring the data to a new node, and then starting the VM on the new node.
