Which OS recommended and best options for open-stack setup

we setup open-stack using Ubuntu, and scientific Linux .

although performance looks ok ,

Which OS recommended and best options for open-stack setup .

I would definitely suggest running Ubuntu, with 11.04 being the best choice.
