IP public & VNC Console

Asked by Laurent Borensky

Hi,

After reinstalling my environment correctly (release Cactus), used and register the good images, created instances are operational (I use OpenStack Beginner's guide). Good, now I have access to console log file, VM via ssh & putty, but I have still some problems.

1) Why, when I start a VM, I did not direct the public IP address in the web dashboard, and also with command line? I must do it manually with "eucalyptus-allocate-address" & "eucalyptus-associate-address".

2) Options for VNC Console (Web), is it to add the file "nova.conf"? [--vnc_enabled=True, --vncproxy_url=http://10.10.10.2:6080, --vnc_console_proxy_url=http://10.10.10.2:6080].

3) Nova (release Cactus) agrees he comments in the file "nova.conf"?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

I have some responses :

1) No response for the moment,

2)The subject is delicate. You must use a specific noVNC coupled OpenStack Dashboard. Trials are in progress.

3) Yes, it is possible (release Cactus and more).

Regards,
