Issue is Launching Custom Image

Asked by naangilsunder

HI all,

I have installed as per the link http://wiki.openstack.org/NovaInstall (Nova in Single Server )

Installed Nova in Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit

I am able to Launch instance of the OpenStack provided images.I get issue with the image that I bundle(Ubuntu 10.04 image).

I see the following difference while launching instance from Openstack provided image and Image bundled by me .

In Openstack provided image,

While launching instance, the image is getting copied from storage to the cache in the location “ /var/lib/nova/instances/instance-Instanceid/
I see the following files disk, console.log, ramdisk , kernel, disk-raw, libvirt.xml getting generated and available in the location.

In Custom Bundled Image,

While launching instance the image is getting copied from storage to the cache in the location “ /var/lib/nova/instances/instance-Instanceid/

I see only the following files console.log, ramdisk , kernel, disk-raw, libvirt.xml getting generated and available in the location. The file name “disk” is not getting generated.

please help..
