does Noise edit the directory where my music library is ?

Asked by alexxtasi

Hi there!

Apart from situations on which I edit a song's metadata though Noise, is there a case that Noise will edit (song, folder or even create some) the directory where my music library lies in ?

I see that Noise creates ".mediaartlocal" on each directory of my library, when this directory represents an album.
* In most of my albums not, but in some of them, this hidden folder is created by Noise and actually it has many copies of album's cover.
* Is this cover fetched from the internet? Though I have a jpg file already in the directory ?
* Can I set Noise to save these data on another path ? Say I want to have my library clean of any music software ?

thanks in advance

Oops...
there is a possibility that I am mistaking when it comes to the ".mediaartlocal" directory. Possibly it's not a Noise fault.

can anyone confirm that? and about Noise's edits on my library ?

recently I found this ... https://wiki.gnome.org/DraftSpecs/MediaArtStorageSpec , explaining the use of .mediaartlocal .
Does Noise make use of these info, or creates those sub-directories ?
Will the deletion of those cause problems to Noise ?
