Why is it that whem I import music from external drive NOISE duplicates it...

When I try to import music from my external drive into my ElementaryOS Freya installation, the music is duplicated automatically in NOISE. No matter how I have tried, if I import, it happens. I will be using another music app while this is sorted out. Any ideas...?

This is not really a fix but a workaround (maybe?):

I got rid of the duplicates by moving all files to some other folder, removing all tracks from library and importing again.

Have you unchecked "Copy imported files to Library" in the preferences?
