Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon

Asked by redman on 2015-03-24

Hello,

I'm using Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon which in fact uses some kind of gnome 3 interface...
I'm not able to change the desktop tray icon , however it is installed in various directories within /usr/share/icon/...

Is the tray icon gnome3 compatible? Can I change it?

Thanks,

Patrick

If you are running NitroShare on Gnome 3, you will need this extension installed:

https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/615/appindicator-support/

This is because NitroShare is designed to use application indicators when run under Gnome 3. Unfortunately, Gnome 3 doesn't support application indicators out-of-the-box, so the above extension is required.

Can you help with this problem?
