How much data can be transferred in one attempt?

Asked by Shane Ferreira

I would like to use this application to transfer about 13 TBs of data...is this application capable of that? Each file is not very big...under a few MBs...but there are obviously many of them. I can do smaller batches, but would like to do about 500GBs or more per move if possible. I'm having some trouble installing this application in openSUSE, it's asking for dependencies that I'm not familiar with and having trouble obtaining from repositories. So before I invest a ton of time in resolving this...I just want to make sure it is worth it.

Details:
Source system is a Linux box, openSUSE 10.3 64bit
4GB of memory

Destination system is a Mac mini (OS X 10.9.3) with an external RAID enclosure
16GB of memory

Thanks so much!
Shane

As long as none of the individual files is larger than about 500MB, you should have no problems whatsoever. The transfer may take a couple minutes to start since the filenames are transferred all at once at the beginning of the transfer, but it should work fine. Please let me know how it goes.

Can you help with this problem?
