Nathan has told me before that NitroShare "exposes an XML RPC API" here

The "nitroshare.py" in the source code download under "nautilus" folder, may help make a script that can do that.

Which means you should be able to write a script to send files... or help write the command line interface. ( maybe Nathan is working on this for the next version, need to hear from him)
