Is there a plan to support ACR1222L in the future? If not, is there a recommended approach for me to help the project?

There is no plan to support that reader. You can try it with the de/acr122_usb.py driver, maybe that works.

It actually seg faults python when link the vendor/product with the 122 driver. I'll check out the log later.
