The relationship with vanadium.canonical.com

Asked by Stas Sușcov

Hi, we got a clean install of Nexenta on one of our servers, and after 4 hour of uptime and a netstat -P tcp I can see this:
TCP: IPv4
Local Address Remote Address Swind Send-Q Rwind Recv-Q State
-------------------- -------------------- ----- ------ ----- ------ -----------
...
my.super.server.48773 vanadium.canonical.com.80 5888 0 48981 0 TIME_WAIT
my.super.server.56142 vanadium.canonical.com.80 5888 0 48981 0 TIME_WAIT
...

May I know what's the nexenta relationship with canonical?
:)

Thanks.

Apart from Ubuntu being the upstream project for Nexenta, there is no other relationship. I'm not sure which binary is connection to vanadium.canonical.com.

A little bit of googling found that vanadium.canonical.com = answers.launchpad.net

What softwares have you installed on top of Nexenta?

Nothing so far except mc and links.
Anyway I'll investigate by myself maybe I'm missing something.

I thought there's some plugin like landscape-client in jaunty.

Thanks for the quick answer and keep up the good work.
