Query regarding LBaas and interface selection

I have 2 instances, each having two network interfaces (one public and one private). I created a Load balancer pool. Then I tried adding the two nodes as members of this pool. But for first instance private ip is taken and for second instance public ip is taken. How to force the instance/member to use particular nic ?
