Selecting the right image

I currently have a bootable iso ,rhel-server-6.4-x86_64-dvd.iso, that I want to use in OpenStack. I can upload the image to the dashboard but after that it becomes useless when associated to an instance (no ssh, no ping, no floating IP, etc.)

My question is is there anything else that i need to do to the iso in order to make it work with OpenStack? Whether its through the command line or something else. It might be that I can't even use it, idk thats why im asking.

I don't think the RAW iso file is usable for normal VM creation. Besides, this question should be asked in nova.

Can you help with this problem?
