It seems pica8 is a physical switch implementing the OVS, and RYU stuff. the port number is limited to the physical ports. in quantum, the ovs bridge is software which is running on compute host. we are creating port dynamically, and the VM is attached on the bridge with the port.

I cannot figure out how to use it. U can figure it out and write a doc about it. That is interesting.

It depends on what you'd like to achieve by "delegate".
As Yong suggested, I don't either see direct mapping from the current quantum assumption to physical Openflow switch.
So you need to touch quantum plugin and its openflow controller (whatever openflow controller you uses), I guess.

What do you mean by "delegate"?
What do you want to accomplish by "delegate"?

Can you help with this problem?
