netflix-desktop isn't working

when I try to run netflix-desktop, it gives me the error message

"MS true type fonts are not properly installed, would you like to download and install them now? (requires an Internet connection and sudo permissions)"

I hit yes and I get another error message saying:

"It appears that you still have not installed the MS true type fonts. You need to accept the license agreement and install these fonts for Netflix Desktop to work properly."

I tried to run it from the terminal, and first I get this error message

"MS true type fonts are not properly installed, would you like to download and install them now? (requires an Internet connection and sudo permissions)"

I hit yes, and the terminal flashes through to a screen that says

I hit tab to highlight the "Ok" option, and hit enter. Then the screen says

"Package Configuration
In order to install this package, you must accept the license terms, the "TrueType core fonts for the Web EULA ". Not accepting will cancel the installation.
Do you accept the EULA license terms?
<Yes> <No>"

"Yes" is already highlighted, so I hit enter

Then I get the same error message I get when trying to access Netflix-desktop.

"It appears that you still have not installed the MS true type fonts. You need to accept the license agreement and install these fonts for Netflix Desktop to work properly."

I have also tried entering into the terminal "sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer, which runs through and does not seem to change anything.
