Hi jan,

The first thing to try would be to delete the profile folder (rm -Rf ${HOME}/.wine-browser) and try to launch the application again. If you launch it from the terminal (netflix-desktop) and something doesn't work properly then that debug information would be helpful. I do all of my testing on 12.04 since that's the current LTS release, so that shouldn't be a problem :)

when i tryied opening in terminal it stoped for a few secounds thn went right back to where i could type again in terminal im not sure how to get debug info

Hi jan,

That first command will perform an operation (delete the profile folder) and return immediately (unless there's an error, in which case a message will be displayed). If you run "netflix-desktop --showdebug" then that will enable console debugging, I would recommend running the following:
rm -Rf ${HOME}/.wine-browser
netflix-desktop --showdebug

The output from that command would be very helpful for me to figure out your problem.

well it seems to work with the first comand you posted but if you still want the debug info ill give it to you.

other sites had me doing (rm -Rf ${HOME}/.netflix-desktop or something like that to clear the profile.

first run it wasent full screen and was choppy so i clicked full screen and ubuntu froze i restarted and when i started netflix it went full screen seemed to play ok but i couldnt get it outof full screen. i clicked fullscreen and screen went black and i had to restart the net book. thanks for the help

Hi jan,

It may be that you need to disable hardware acceleration, try launching:
netflix-desktop --disable-hw-acceleration

If that works then please let me know so that I can add your graphics driver to the blacklist.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask jan for more information if necessary.
