i would like to turn off the custom features of the browser

what part of of the code do i have to edit or what-not to have it just be a normal firefox browser, not that it isnt nifty as is but i want more of a normal desktop netflix feel(move it around and the like) and less like some one jammed a wii or xbox in here.

First you want to use the "F11" key to exit full screen mode, then you want to use the "Alt" key to get the menu to appear. In the View -> Toolbars menu you want to enable "Menu Bar", "Navigation Toolbar", and "Bookmarks Toolbar". Once you've done that you'll want to go to Tools -> Addons -> Extensions and disable "Fullscreen Close Plugin". That should restore Firefox to its usual state.

I had a hard time with this as well, in lubuntu neither f11 nor fn+f11 seemed to allow Alt to get navigation to appear. I was able to open a new tab using Control-T and also access the location bar by using Control-L . This allowed me to enter about:config and change some of the auto-hide settings as detailed in the askubuntu question below.

Further, the "Fullscreen Close Plugin" is unfortunately directly on top of the "Restore" button, which would take the fullscreen back to a smaller window -- if you happen to get far enough to see those buttons in the top right.
