Impossible to switch off wifi on eeepc under UNR

Ubuntu Netbook Remix is fantastic on eeePC 701 and 900.
Easy to install without any problems.

Just a small problem: Fn+F2 does not switch off the wifi: the wifi connection is not changed and the blue led remains lighted.

Fn+F2 used to work perfectly with Xandros: there was a pop-up saying "Wireless LAN OFF" or "Wireless LAN ON".

Any idea?

After following the steps with the linked bug (adding the PPA), you should go into the BIOS (F2 on boot) and turn off the wifi, boot up, reboot and turn it on in the BIOS. After doing those steps, turning on and off the wifi worked for me.
