Auto Mount a drive on start up (Jaunty 9.04)

Asked by New2Ubuntu

i'm currently running xp and ubuntu 9.04 on a samsung nc10. could'nt get the UNR to work. anyway all of my files are stored within the windows directories on one of the hard drives. rather than duplicate all of my files to see them under jaunty I mount the drive using the computer function to bring up the drive in question.

does anyone know a way that I can get jaunty to do this on start up to save me having to manually mount the drive each time I log in?

thanks

There are a few ways to do this. The easiest would be to follow the guide already written here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=785263

You may also manually edit /etc/fstab to mount your XP partition on boot. For information see here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Fstab If you choose this route please make sure to backup your fstab first.

Good luck!
