how to display gnome-panel popup menu

Asked by Gabor Nagypal

I have just installed the UNR Jaunty image and I would like to add some applets to the gnome panel. Normally, I would right-click at a free space on the panel and would select "add to panel" from the popup menu. However, in the UNR version I cannot find any free space on the panel, therefore I cannot get this menu displayed. Are there any alternatives to get the menu, or at least to create a free space on the panel?

It was easy , now I know how , just unlock the Showhome applet in the corner move it by choosing move to the right to the middle and now you have free space to clock on and add panel-applets!

Hi, I have almost the same problem, i would like to remove some applets from the pannel and add others like system monitor, but i didn't find the right way. Is there a way to unlock the applets on the pannel and move, add or remove like in the classic gnome interface? Thanks
