Claws Mail menu does not display in Ubuntu Netbook Remix

Hello,
I installed claws-mail version 3.3.1-1ubuntu3 on my Toshiba NB100 with Ubuntu Netbook Remix. The claws-mail application menu is not visible nor accessible (e.g., ALT-F does not display the file menu, etc.)
