keyboard shortcut to home screen

Asked by Alexander Krivács Schrøder

I am using your ubuntu netbook remix with my Acer Aspire One, which has this handy "Home" key ( http://www.cnet.com.au/story_media/339289685/aspire_11.jpg ) and I would really like to have this key connected in a way that pressing it causes the same action as clicking on the go-home-applet, i.e., it should take me to the home screen. Is this possible? I looked in "Keyboard Shortcuts" in "Preferences", but it had no such setting. Help would be much appreciated.

Good idea. I never looked into that, as I'm usually using the mouse and can click the icon in the corner. I'll look into it as well. BTW, what repositories are you using for updated (see my question below). You can find them in Software Sources

You say my question needs more information, but I don't see you ask for any... My question still stands unanswered.

Under Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts, scroll down to Window Management, to find "Hide all windows and focus desktop" Click the disabled shortcut and select the Home Key. The shortcut will say "Super L"
