Ubuntu Netbook Remix

Can't get internet on 901 Eee PC

I just bought the 901 Eee PC (WinXP version, it was cheaper), and installed UNR on it. All seems to be working well, except for that I can't get internet (wired, don't have wireless yet...)

The little network icon appears in the panel up the top, saying there are no network connections. How do I get internet on my new netbook?

Follow the instructions at http://www.array.org/ubuntu/index.html to install the custom eee linux kernel for either hardy or intrepid.
It solved my problems on my 701SD using the eeepc-lean kernel.
