dvd iso of unr usb img

Asked by Spinnekopje

Hello,

I've read positive things about the unr install for netbooks from http://oem-images.canonical.com/unr/ . I would like to give it a try, but I do not have a large usb key. Is there a dvd iso planned or is there an easy way to convert the img to iso?

Please do not give the answer that those usb keys are cheap, I don't want to spend the money just to use it for a couple of hours and never afterwards. I can use the money much more usefull on other stuff.

You can do a regular ubuntu install from cd (or boot the inistall trough network) and install the UNR packages when ubuntu is up and running.

There is now an ISO available. Please note vanilla Ubuntu 8.04 + UNR packages is NOT the same.

The UNR img / iso installers will wipe your system and are designed for lpia (atom) based netbooks.

The ISO is at:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UNR
