ume-config-netbook and msi wind

Asked by semon

Hello, I just bought a msi wind which is diamondville based. I installed a standard Ubuntu 8.04.1 which is running fine... but i suspect that it is not really tweaked for Atom processor.

Will i benefit installing the ume-config-netbook package on a standard ubuntu ?

ume-config-netbook is a set of tweaks for Atom-powered netbooks. In other words, go ahead and install it.

It looks like ume-config-netbook has been removed. I can't find it in the repo.

You don't need ume-config-netbook, it was removed as it isn't necessary (it was a very specific package for our internal builds, couldn't be easily uninstalled, could hose the system if used on the wrong device).

Can you help with this problem?
