There are no optimisations as such, but I've run the remix on a Menlow-based device, and te performance is pretty good. The main place where you may get performance issues is the launcher, as some 3d drivers aren't very good yet.

In any case, if you hit a serious performance issue, feel free to file a bug and I'll try to check it out.
