How to size launch pad for eee pc?

How can I resize the launch pad (control panel) of the remix to fill the entire working area on a 7 inch eee pc? Thank you!

Also, what is the mixer applet that should be on the top bar?

I believe the mixer applet is just the regular "volume control" applet. It seems to be what's in the screenshots.

I'm not sure I understand, it should already be the size of your desktop (minus the height of the panel)

right click in a corner, where you surely just hit the panel and not some of the icons, choose properties, you should get a dialog window with two tabs, one for general settings and one for background. In the first you can change the height in pixels.
