window-picker-applet bad colors

Asked by mcastner

I update window-picker-applet today to the latest version and now the color scheme is unusable. The background of the window titles is silver and the font is white, making it difficult to read. I can change the settings in the Appearance part of the Control Center but it changes all of the other system colors too and makes the rest of the system unusable. How can I change these colors back to White on Black or is it something wrong with my computer?

See https://bugs.launchpad.net/netbook-remix/+bug/240152 . Personally, I'm hoping this will be fixed soon with an upgrade so we don't have to mess with patching stuff. Another temporary workaround, on your home screen, go to Settings>Appearance and change the theme away from the netbook theme. I do hope you're aware that the netbook remix is alpha code provided for experimentation only with no guarantee that it won't break and cause you difficulties. :-)

Yeah I just edited the panel.rc like it said in that bug report to fix it and it's back to normal. It was a weird change, I wonder why someone decided to make it like that because it's really not usable that way.

Also, this is installed on an eee pc so it's not my primary computer.

Thanks!
