update linux-image-lpia cannot be loaded

Update manager perform partial update but has left out update ' linux-image-lpia '. This cannot be selected and at the same time sound has stopped.

The last method i used was lib/modules/2.6.24-19-lpia/update using 'sudo mv' cannot be used as the current directory does not exist
Is this related???
In the meantime i am soundless
Any ideas?

I have Toshiba NB100 using Hardy (8.04)

Also have found that the internal webcam is no longer working

4-5-10 - Have restored from original CD.
