Systems Administration - not completely visible on Lenovo Ideapad S12

How can I move the Systems Administration launcher menu into a screen of its own?

Or - how do I start Update Manager from the terminal so I can check for any fixes?

You can edit the menu by going to System (> Preferences) > Main Menu, which will allow you to create new entries, though you may find it more useful to untick (and therefore hide) menu entries you don't need in order to fit what remains on your screen.

Alternatively you can start the Update Manager, either from a terminal or by pressing Alt-F2, and typing:
update-manager
