Why the selection windows in gnome is so crappy ?

Asked by adam0509

Hi,

I was wondering why in the selection window (the little window you got when you want to open a file or save a file), you just can just make "add to favorites" and "Show hidden files".

Some things that would be could :

-use CTRL+H shorcut for the win !!
-cut/copy/paste
-open
-and basically, all the menu of nautilus...

Thanks in advance !!

If I understand you correctly, you're asking why the Save As/Open dialog doesn't have the same features (Copy, Paste, New File) as a regular Nautilus window? I think this would be a great feature, but I think you posted it on the wrong section. Try posting it on the Ubuntu Forums and see the response you get there.

Hi, thanks for the answers

You think it depends from Ubuntu or GNOME ?

This would be a Gnome issue.

Can you help with this problem?
