mythbuntu install hangs at 83%

Asked by Jeff

The install just hangs at 83%. The dialog status message is "Configuring mythtv...".
Tried it twice. The system is an Athlon 900Mhz, 512Ram, Nvidia 5200 AGP with SVGA out. It has internet access over my home 100Mb network/DSL using DHCP. I verified this by browsing with Firefox on the LiveCD.

I'm just trying to build a simple stand-alone box to watch my media collection on my TV. My media collection is on a SAMBA share.

Started the CD in Safe Graphics Mode so that the TV would be viewable as the monitor.

Is this on alpha 1 or alpha 2?

Well as i look again, you must be on alpha 2 if you have support for ssh and samba. I'll look into this.

I double checked with a test run on my box, and made it through. Can you post your /var/log/syslog ?
