Linkage Descriptor Linked Events

The german provider Sky and maybe other providers have special channels for PPV or sport events. On certified receivers you have an option key to reach these subevents like different camera perspectives in formula one events or the different movies on dynamic channels.
I found a patch to add support for this special channels. but it wont work in newer releases. is it possible to add support to the current release?

PS: the backend patch can be applied but not the frontend patch. i think to much has changed (the patch was released 3 years ago)

Unfortunately, the work required to resolve this issue is too much considering the complexity of the issue, combined with the man power of the Mythbuntu team and the equipment required. Having said that, someone on the mythtv-users mailing list might be in a position to help out, so I'd suggest asking there.
