moving sandbox directories

Asked by Ecker Sandor

The sandbox is great, but I had a little problem with it when I wanted to move the sandbox directory from where it was created previously.

I had to change all the configuration files+support scripts.

I think it would be great to have a central configfile for each mysql instance. Ok, I think the configfile (my...conf) is not able to read external parameters, but the support scripts could use some one shell script with the directories...

If you can suggest where what to change, I maybe can do it, I like perl much...

Thanks,
Regards,
Sandor

The newest version of MySQL Sandbox (2.0.15) has two new features.

* a change_paths shell script that is created in the directory where the sandbox was installed.
If you move the sandbox somewhere else, running this script will update all the sandbox scripts
  to the new path.

* A general purpose tool (sbtool) which can do several actions, including moving a sandbox from a
  place to another.
