Only for Linux?

Asked by Vide

I guess that mysql-mmm is a Linux-only solution, right? It doesn't support out-of-the-box other Unix like Solaris for example, does it?

Right now the flashcache patch is linux only, otherwise it should be good. I created a fix for it and it compiles and runs just fine on my mac.

No, it doesn't work out of the box on other *nix systems. This should not be hard to port though. The only reason Pascal didn't implement it is that he does not need it nor have a testbed for it.
If you would be interested to put some effort into porting I think you will make lots of friends :)
